Το 2014 η Rhodes International Culture & Heritage Society (αστική μη κερδοσκοπική εταιρία για τη διεθνή πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της Ρόδου), γνωστή στους περισσότερους ως RICHeS, γιορτάζει την 5η επέτειο της. Ασφαλώς και δεν θα αφήσουμε αυτό το αξιόλογο επίτευγμα να περάσει απαρατήρητο. Έχουμε πολλές εκδηλώσεις για εσάς και οι προετοιμασίες τους είναι ήδη σε εξέλιξη.
Για να αποκαλύψουμε ένα μικρό μέρος απ’ αυτές, σας ενημερώνουμε ότι μια ειδική επετειακή έκθεση στο Γαλλικό Κατάλυμα ετοιμάζεται για την Άνοιξη. Περισσότερες πληροφορίες θα ακολουθήσουν σύντομα. Η RICHeS ξεκίνησε το Φεβρουάριο 2009 από μια ανεπίσημη πρωτοβουλία του Erik Bruns και της Hannie Παλιού -van Dijk που ονομάστηκε Rottiers Committee. Στόχος της επιτροπής αυτής ήταν να ξεκινήσει μια έκθεση για το Rottiers και ασχολήθηκε κυρίως με τις Ολλανδό- Ελληνικές πολιτιστικές σχέσεις. Το Σεπτέμβριο 2009 η Rottiers Committee μετεξελίχθηκε σε έναν Μη Κερδοσκοπικό Οργανισμό (NGO) με την ονομασία Rottiers Society. Με την ονομασία Rottiers Society η ομάδα έγινε ευρέως γνωστή στη Ρόδο και την επόμενη χρονιά διοργανώσαμε τις Ανοικτές Πόρτες, Ευρωπαϊκές Ημέρες Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς, η οποία από τότε καθιερώθηκε σαν μια εκδήλωση σήμα κατατεθέν και με τους χιλιάδες των συμμετεχόντων η πιο αγαπητή πολιτιστική εκδήλωση στη Ρόδο. Τον Ιούνιο 2011 το όνομα Rottiers Society άλλαξε σε RICHES. Οι RICHeS έχουμε δουλέψει ακούραστα τα τελευταία 5 χρόνια ούτως ώστε να αυξηθεί η ενημέρωση και το ενδιαφέρον του κοινού για την κληρονομιά της Ρόδου, την μακρά και ποικίλη πολιτιστική της περιουσία η οποία είναι αποτέλεσμα των πολλών πολιτιστικών επιρροών. Η Rottiers Committee ξεκίνησε με δυο ιδρυτές. Η σύνθεση του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου της Rottiers Society ήταν τετραμελής. Τώρα, πέντε χρόνια μετά, η RICHeS αποτελείται από: Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο τεσσάρων ατόμων, Γραμματέα, πολλές Θεματικές Επιτροπές, Συμβούλους, Φίλους, Δωρητές, δεκάδες Εθελοντών και εκατοντάδες Φίλων στο Facebook και στις λίστες ηλεκτρονικής αλληλογραφίας. Έχουμε κατορθώσει πολλά, αλλά πρέπει να γίνουν ακόμα περισσότερα. Με τη συνεχή υποστήριξη σας είμαστε αποφασισμένοι να κάνουμε τη δεύτερη πενταετία ακόμα πιο επιτυχημένη. The Rhodes International Culture & Heritage Society, known to most in Rhodes under its abbreviation RICHeS, celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2014. It goes without saying that we won't let this remarkable achievement go unnoticed. We have several festivities for you in store, preparations are ongoing. To lift a tip of the veil: in spring we are bringing you a special anniversary exhibition in the French Inn. More information about the program will follow soon.
RICHeS started in February 2009 as an informal initiative of Hannie Paliou - van Dijk and Erik Bruns and was named Rottiers Committee. The committee intended to initiate a Rottiers exhibition and focused mainly on Dutch/Greek cultural relations. In September 2009 the Rottiers Committee became a legally established NGO under the name Rottiers Society. As Rottiers Society our organization became widely known in Rhodes and in the following year we organized the first Anoiktes Portes/European Heritage Days in Rhodes, which has since become one of our trademark events and, with thousands of participants, the most beloved heritage event in Rhodes. In June 2011 the name Rottiers Society was dropped in favor of Rhodes International Culture & Heritage Society. As RICHeS our organization has worked tirelessly over the past five years to increase public awareness and interest in the riches of Rhodes, its long and diverse cultural heritage which is the result of many cultural influences. The Rottiers Committee started with two founders. The Rottiers Society installed a board of four. Now, five years later, RICHeS has a board of four, a secretary, several theme committees, many advisors, friends, supporters, donators, dozens of volunteers and hundreds to thousands of friends on Facebook and on our mailing lists. A lot has been achieved, a lot still needs to be done. With your continuing support we are determined to make our second period of five years even more successful and we look forward to meeting you again during on of our events the coming year and to celebrate our birthday together with you. |
